Re-run of the galaxy M51 in Canes Venatici

M51 Full frame Merged dataPicture saved with settings embedded.

Bizibilder has returned to an object that he photographed and posted on the 9th April – M51 the “double” spiral galaxy in Canes Venatici.  There is a total of 2h 42mins data here, taken over two nights and combined using the computer. The “framing” is much better – Bizibilder has learned to use his computerised telescope guiding system at last!!  He also feels his image processing has been helped by using the correct settings on his processing software – far less blue in the images!! (Thanks to various Astro-forum members for their patience and help!)

How many “little fuzzies” –  can you spot in the wide field image?  Bizibilder reckons on at least eight other galaxies are visible in this image!
