M63 (Again!!) Now with 10.5 hours exposure

Picture saved with settings embedded.Picture saved with settings embedded.

Bizibilder’s M63 project continues…..  Last night he managed to take a further four hours of exposures (in 5 minute “subs”) and by combining these with the images taken earlier in the week the images above contain a total of 10.5 hours of “exposure”.  He thinks that the galaxy is finally beginning to show through and the background noise is under control at last.  He may well add more if the weather permits!

The top picture is around half the total field of view and the lower one is a crop of the galaxy to show it “full size”. (click on both for full size – If you look really closely you can see some tiny and very faint galaxies starting to emerge from the background gloom of Deep Space!).
