The Moon 26 April 2015–20 pane mosaic

I must be honest and say this is really a 19 pane mosaic - the 20th pane was taken "just in case" as I thought I may have missed a bit - but it wasn't needed in the final image!!

ED120APO, 2.5x Powermate, ASI120mm mono camera and a red filter:

A couple of Moon mosaics from last night

A couple of mosaics from last night.

The first is a three panel and the second a thirteen panel taken with a 2.5x Powermate.  Other kit: ED120APO, ASI120mm, red filter.  300/4000 frames for the 3 panel and 200/2000 frames for the 13 panel.  Stacked in AS2 and stitched and finished in Photoshop.

The Sun 20 April 2015 (with 7 pane mosaic)

Today's Sun in my usual format plus a 7 pane white light mosaic.  This is the first successful white light mosaic I have managed as i find it almost impossible to combine the panes unless there are a few conveniently positioned spots and other features.  I think you can "see the joins" in a couple of places - I had to manually build the mosaic as no software would tough it! - as there are a few differences between the panes caused by a fairly low Sun showing the effects of deteriorating seeing as it sank slowly in the West.  That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!!:p   I reckon that there are well over 100 spots and small pores visible.

The International Space Station!

120mm APO telescope and Canon 1100d at iso 1600 and 1/320 sec.  Hand "guided" through some tiny breaks in the cloud.  My first ever attempt at the ISS - me "guiding" and Mrs Bizibilder clicking furiously at the  "take" button.  It's a shame that it clouded over - I think it would be possible to get the guiding better if I could take a bit longer to get things aligned!  Full size - just cropped to save space.

Finally a good enough break in the "high haze" that has been hanging over East Anglia for the last few days:  51/128 stacked.  ED120APO, Baader film, Canon 1100D, ISO 100, 1.2000 sec.
