Todays Sun - seeing slightly better than it has been but still poor! AR2621 is not easy to spot on my image but it is there if you know where to look ;) !
A spotless Sun today! I took 250 frames and stacked 49 of them for this image. Poor seeing and windy too!:
First sight of the Sun for a while! The seeing was awful but I managed to get this:
A few mosaics:
Today's Sun in poor seeing - the close up is the best I could get from six runs of 4000 frames - just stacking the best 100.
Today's Sun which, although low, was reasonably steady for imaging. 120mm Achromat, Canon 1100D, Baader film, 1/1600sec, ISO 100, motorised EQ5:
A very low Sun with quite a bit of haze about so I had to go to 1/640 sec at ISO 100 (normally 1/2000 or shorter!). Sorry about the dust bunnies - i've cleaned the sensor ready for next time:
Not much going on - today's Sun:
The Sun today – not much going on:
A daylight Moon – a stack of 40 from 150 shots taken with a Canon 1100D and 120mm refractor:
Late afternoon, very low, Sun - probably the last workday Sun until the spring:
Bizibilder has spent all summer toiling to get a lush green lawn – seems to have worked out quite well!!
It took a couple of patient hours to get these - waiting for gaps in the clouds to pass overhead and allow any imaging at all:
A nice big clear patch this morning - so time to take a disc and a few close-ups with a 2.5x Powermate:
Looks like we have some new AR's to follow over the next fortnight or so:
