Dead calm today after several days of cloud and thunderstorms:
First fish was this decent 9 pounder (followed by quite a few others of various smaller sizes) – That’s the toe of by boot at the bottom for size::
This guy buzzed over around lunchtime:

The frames have been assembled and balsa wood blocks shaped and fitted between them – this should give a good solid base on which to start applying the miniature planking. All a bit rough at this stage but a smooth hull form is beginning to emerge. The hull is about 20” long and 5” wide.
